Class will meet for 4 weeks to create a beautiful "rail fence" baby quilt from start to finish.
To take this class you will need a sewing machine, a few other basic items and fabric, a detailed class supply list will be emailed to you upon class sign-up. Also, as with all of our classes, you will receive a 15% off discount for all class supplies purchased at The Quilt Shop.
Classes will be held on 4 consecutive Saturday mornings from 10:00am - 2:00pm starting January 6th.

You need a walking foot or even feed foot that fits your machine. We do not drop the feed dogs but keep them up so the fabric on the top and the bottom are stitched evenly.
Wouldn't this make a beautiful block centerpiece? Let's use our walking foot to try this "quilted star" a bit off center but doesn't it remind you of Christmas? You will need a walking foot for your sewing machine, a practice sandwich or a small quilt with big blocks - the supply list gives you a small quilt pattern for practicing walking foot designs too! We will even learn how to bury our threads for a clean look on the front and the back!
And if you're feeling adventurous take the free motion class this afternoon, where you DO drop the feed-dogs on your machine.
